Amongst the 10 most polluted cities in the world, seven are in India. These reports say enough for us, city dwellers to rethink of our actions. However, research says that an average person stays indoors 90% of his/her time. The first question that arrives in our mind after reading such reports is, “what’s the immediate solution”. Indoor air is also contaminated by allergic germs and pollutants that we don’t realize on our day to day life.

It becomes extremely difficult for asthma and sinus patients to breathe in a polluted environment. They tend to struggle with cold, allergy and irritated sinus perpetually. Essential oils come in handy in this scenario. Their versatility ranges beyond just aromatherapy. They cleanse the air and fight the allergens, microbes and fungal spores present in the air.

1. Lavender
